Bringing my client’s vision to life can be challenging but so very rewarding.
When asked about what I do I like to say I get to work on cool images with cool creatives. And this project with Kate Turning is a great example of one of those ‘cool projects with cool creatives’.
In this project, Kate had an idea to show the LA River in a way that is so very LA. With the iconic bridges and late afternoon light, Kate shot a series of frames of this paddle boarder ‘riding the waves’ and asked me to help pull them together.
Combining a variety of frames we took out the lights, repositioned the paddleboarder, and added some interesting elements in the foreground. Then we went to work cleaning up distracting elements in the background so everything had a cleaner read. Finally, we adjusted the colors in the image to bring out a nice complementary color harmony that really helped the image pop.
